EPA Ag Advisor says administration remains committed to biofuels

EPA’s Senior Agriculture Advisor says the Biden administration is committed to expanding biofuels use to help increase America’s energy independence.

Rod Snyder says the administration is making it a priority to strengthen the Renewable Fuel Standard and releasing timely blending requirements for refiners. “We have an opportunity to look at how we bring responsible growth to the program overall. Continue to grow a portfolio of domestically produced biofuels going forward and making sure the RFS can deliver on what Congress intended.”

EPA has until November to set a final rule for 2023 Renewable Volume Obligations.
