Grand Master Cheesemaker named at Wisconsin State Fair

Wisconsin has a new grand master cheesemaker.  Crave Brothers Farmstead Cheese won the honor Thursday.

Beth Crave tells Brownfield, “That is quite an honor.  It was super exciting and a shock to our whole team.”

Crave tells Brownfield for her team, “It’s a labor of love and dedication to the cheese-making process from the beginning, from producing the crops to milking the cows to making phenomenal high-quality cheeses, and then out to the consumers.”

And for her grand champion chocolate mascarpone, it goes great with certain foods and wines but, “People ask me what you pair it with.  I say a spoon.”

Crave received the Grand Master Cheesemaker award Thursday evening during the Champion Dairy Products auction at the Wisconsin State Fair.
