Although the Southwestern monsoon circulation will remain active, many other areas of the country will receive little or no rain during the next several days.
Five-day rainfall totals could reach 1 to 2 inches or more in Wyoming and the Four Corners States, but mostly dry weather will prevail across the southern Plains, the Pacific Coast States, and the nation’s northern tier. The Midwest will receive spotty showers, though rain could become briefly heavy early next week in the southwestern Corn Belt.
