Hot, largely dry pattern ahead for much of the Heartland
Looking ahead, the 6- to 10-day outlook calls for the likelihood of near- or above-normal temperatures nationwide, except for cooler-than-normal conditions in the Desert Southwest.
Meanwhile, near- or above-normal rainfall in the South, East, and from the Pacific Coast to the Rockies should contrast with drier-than-normal weather across the Plains and much of the Midwest.
