EPA approves registration for Resicore XL

The EPA has approved the registration of Corteva’s Resicore XL corn herbicide for the 2023 growing season.

Kelly White with Corteva tells Brownfield this new tool will help farmers combat weed resistance.

“We think this extended application window and multiple modes of action will be effective and useful for farmers.”

She says Resicore XL can be applied from preemergence through postemergence on corn up to two feet tall, and allows greater tank-mix compatibility.

“Making sure our product is versatile in what we can mix with products that we can go at with in a whole program approach is very vital.”

White says Resicore XL builds on the success of its predecessor Resicore, which was the most widely used residual corn herbicide in the U.S. in 2019 and 2020.
