Shawne A. Hindbaugh

Shawne A. Hindbaugh, 61, of Muscatine, passed away on Thursday, July 21, 2022, at her home.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.  Burial will take place in Memorial Park Cemetery.  The Ralph J. Wittich-Riley-Freers Funeral Home will be assisting the family with arrangements. Shawne was born on April 19, 1961, in Muscatine, the daughter of Smokey and Audrey Young Stover. She married Otis L. Hindbaugh Jr. on August 2, 1991, at St. Mathias Church.

Shawne graduated from Muscatine High School.  She worked for the city as a MuscaBus dispatcher.  Shawne was a member of the Calvary Church where she was very involved with art classes. She took Peacemaker Ministry and Score classes.

Horses were her first love.  She had a passion for animals and art.  Shawne was very creative and had her own framing business at the farm called Shawne’s Framing and Art. Shawne was an entrepreneur and was interested in setting up a 501 C for a horse rescue.  She has taken horse abuse investigation training and had been involved in the American Humane. Shawne was a 4H leader.  She would also visit and help homeless families. Shawne would also take her German Shepherd dog and visit the residents in nursing homes.  She was an avid reader and studied many topics to help people.

Shawne is survived by her husband, Otis L. Hindbaugh Jr.; three siblings, Stacey Schroeder of Muscatine, John Stover and his significant other, Grace, of Wilmington, North Carolina, and Steve Stover of Moline, Illinois; sisters-in-law, Terry Hindbaugh of Muscatine, Vickie Meerdink of Blue Grass, and Julie Andreas of Muscatine; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; grandparents; mother and father-in-law, Otis and Mary Hindbaugh; a brother-in-law, Jerry Lee Hindbaugh; and a great nephew, Trevor White.
