CME milk futures and some cash dairy up Monday

Milk futures were mostly up and cash dairy prices were mixed on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange Monday.

July Class III milk was up $0.03 at $22.55.  August closed up $0.13 to $20.29.  September closed up $0.38 at $20.57.  October was up $0.32 to $21.08.  November through June contracts ranged from eleven cents lower in May to twenty-seven cents higher in March.  All months except May saw prices increase.

Dry whey was up  $0.01 at $0.4650.  One sale was recorded at that price.

Cheese Blocks were down $0.02 at $1.9750. One sale was recorded at that price.

Cheese Barrels were down $0.06 at $2.01.  Two sales were recorded at $2.0075 and $2.01.

Butter went up $0.0350 closing at $2.9650.  There were 16 sales ranging from  $2.96 to $2.97.

Nonfat dry milk was up $0.03 at $1.69. Five sales were recorded from $1.6850 to $1.69.
