Mary Jo Lake, 79, of Muscatine, passed away on Monday, July 11, 2022, at St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria.
The Ralph J. Wittich-Riley-Freers Funeral Home will be in charge of arrangements. Burial will take place in Memorial Park Cemetery at a later date. Memorials may be made, in Mary Jo’s honor to Ss. Mary Mathias Church. Online condolences may be made at www.wittichfuneralhome.com.
Mary Jo was born on August 26, 1942, in Muscatine, the daughter of William and Iona King Bueser. She married Raymond D. Lake on April 20, 1963, in Muscatine.
She graduated from Hayes High School and completed 2 years of Junior College. Mary Jo ran the office for Ed Weber at Weber Button Company.
She enjoyed contributing to the Hayes Bazar and was known for making the best noodles for the Hayes noodle dinner. She also enjoyed looking for antiques and collectibles.
Mary Jo is survived by her husband, Raymond Lake of Muscatine; two sons, Douglas William Lake of Muscatine, and Christopher Lee Lake of Davenport; and one sister, Donna Henley of San Antonio, Texas.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
