Winter wheat harvest in Kansas hits 95%

The winter wheat harvest in Kansas continues to move ahead of the average pace.

The USDA says 95 percent of the crop has been harvested, ahead of 82 percent last year and 86 percent for the five-year average.

Corn condition is rated 56 percent good to excellent with 34 percent silking.

Soybeans are seen at 62 percent good to excellent with 16 percent of the crop blooming.

Cotton condition is rated 49 percent good to excellent.

Pasture and range conditions are seen at 43 percent good to excellent.
