CME milk futures, cash dairy significantly lower in Tuesday’s trade

Milk futures and cash dairy prices were significantly lower on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange Tuesday after the holiday weekend.

July Class III milk was down $0.32 at $22.10.  August closed down $0.74 to $21.68.  September closed down $0.75 at $21.95.  October was down $0.61 at $22.40.  November through June contracts ranged from five cents lower next June to fifty-two cents lower in December.

Dry whey was unchanged at $0.50.  One sale was made at that price.

Cheese Blocks were down $0.0875 at $2.0850. One sale was recorded at that price.

Cheese Barrels were down $0.04 at $2.1650.  No sales were recorded Tuesday.

Butter was up $0.07 at $2.94.  Nine sales were recorded from $2.94 to $2.9475.

Nonfat dry milk was down $0.0550 at $1.7475. No sales were recorded.
