CME milk futures continue to fall, cash dairy mixed Friday

Milk futures were down and cash dairy prices mixed on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange Friday entering the holiday weekend.

July Class III milk was down $0.11 at $22.42.  August closed down $0.40 to $22.42.  September closed down $0.28 at $22.70.  October was down $0.10 at $23.01.  November through June contracts ranged from thirty-eight cents lower in March to three cents higher in December.

Dry whey was up $0.0125 at $0.50.  Four sales were made from $0.4725 to $0.50..

Cheese Blocks were down $0.0225 at $2.1725. No sales were recorded.

Cheese Barrels were up $0.01 at $2.2050.  Six sales were recorded from $2.1950 to $2.2050.

Butter was up $0.0150 at $3.01.  Six sales were recorded from $2.97 to $3.01.

Nonfat dry milk was down $0.0050 at $1.8025. Four sales were recorded from $1.7925 to $1.8075.

The markets will be closed Monday for the 4th of July holiday and reopening Tuesday.
