Frank ‘Bill’ W. Stalkflee

Frank ‘Bill’ W. Stalkfleet, 86, of Muscatine, passed away on Tuesday, June 28, 2022, at his sister’s home.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, July 1, 2022, in Memorial Park Cemetery. Pastor Sharon Phillips will officiate.

Visitation will be from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. on Friday, July 1, 2022, at the Ralph J. Wittich-Riley-Freers Funeral Home.  Memorials may be made to the family, in care of Janet.  Online condolences may be made at www.wittichfuneralhome.com.

Bill was born on March 1, 1936, in Muscatine, the son of Clarence James and May Frances Fischer Stalkfleet.  He married Janet Rexroth on September 27, 1963, at Walnut Street Baptist Church.

Bill was a machine operator for the City of Muscatine for 32 years before retiring.  He enjoyed plowing and tilling, concrete work, gardening, and fishing.  Frank was always working and liked to walk along the riverfront.  He loved his cars and Allis-Chalmers tractors.  Frank and his family enjoyed camping at Lazy Z Campground.

He will be deeply missed by his wife, Janet Stalkfleet; two children, Mary Gray and her husband, Steve Lamoreux, of Moscow, and Michael Stalkfleet and his wife, Susan, of Muscatine; two grandchildren, Matt Thurston and his wife, Tonya, and Dana Moreno and her husband, Victor; great grandchildren, Haley, Hannah, and Harper; one sister, Catherine A. Bedenbender and her husband, Larry; and one brother-in-law, David Folks.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents; his infant twin brother, Leo Stalkfleet, and two sisters, Delores Marie Stelzner and Sue Ellen Folks.
