Above average temperatures and rainfall ahead for much of the Heartland
Looking ahead, the 6- to 10-day outlook calls for the likelihood of above-normal temperatures nationwide, except for cooler-than-normal conditions in the Northeast and Far West.
Meanwhile, near- or above-normal rainfall across most of the country should contrast with drier-than-normal conditions in parts of the south-central U.S. and the Intermountain West.
