Nebraska crop conditions fall this week amid record heat
A hot and dry week helped farmers in Nebraska replant, but much of the state is in need of rain.
Corn condition ratings fell to 64 precent good-to-excellent, down from 68 percent last week.
Soybeans are rated 62 percent good-to-excellent, a drop of six percent from the prior week.
Winter wheat condition is rated 22 percent good-to-excellent with harvest underway.
Pasture and range conditions are rated 26 percent good-excellent.
Topsoil moisture is 42 percent and subsoil moisture is 44 percent adequate-to-surplus.
