CME milk and dairy prices fall Friday

Milk futures were down and cash dairy prices were all lower except for whey on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange Friday.

June Class III milk was up $0.04 at $24.33 but it was the only price that went up.  July closed down $0.68 at $22.78.  August closed down $0.55 at $23.50.  September was down $0.47 at $23.58.  October through May contracts ranged from thirteen cents lower in December to twenty-eight cents lower in November.

Dry whey was up $0.0050 at $0.4750.  Four sales were recorded from $0.4725 to $0.4775.

Cheese Blocks were down $0.01 at $2.09. Two sales were made at $2.0650 and $2.09.

Cheese Barrels were down $0.0225 at $2.1475.  One sale was made at that price.

Butter was down $0.04 to $2.91.50.  Two sales were made at that price.

Nonfat dry milk was down $0.0050 at $1.79. Two sales were made at $1.78 and $1.79.
