New event for Missouri’s young cattlemen
The 1st Annual Missouri Cattlemen’s Youth Expo was held June 9-12, 2022 at Missouri State Fairgrounds in Sedalia. In addition to the 39th Annual Missouri Junior Cattlemen’s Association (MJCA) All-Breeds Junior Show, juniors were given the opportunity to present their replacement heifer offerings in pens of two to be judged and sold together. The show was held on Friday evening and the sale held Saturday afternoon.
MJCA Replacement Heifer Show & Sale adds another dimension to the expo; an opportunity for juniors to showcase their heifers outside of the show ring.
Congratulations to Ethan Vanderwert, Columbia, on your champion pen of heifers, purchased by Representative Brad Pollitt.
Missouri Lieutenant Governor Mike Kehoe and Mrs. Claudia Kehoe purchased the pen of heifers exhibited by Mason Mayfield, Patton, Missouri.
