The Muscatine Children’s Choirs will offer their annual Summer Music Camp at Wesley from 9 to 11:30 a.m. each morning for children who have completed Kindergarten through 2nd grade, and from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. for children who have completed 3rd-6th grade.

Each day will be filled with musical exploration: musical games, singing, boomwhackers…  and lots more!  K-2 students will prepare a program of songs, and *3rd through 6th graders will prepare the musical, Rescue in the Night, for an all-camp performance on Friday, July 22, at 7:00pm at Wesley United Methodist Church Family Life Center, 400 Iowa Avenue. Lunch will be provided each day for third-sixth graders. *2nd graders who want to be in the musical can do so and stay for the full days – let Dan Laaveg know if this is the case.

The camp is free! Registration is required and is available online by using the QR code below, visiting the church’s website www.wesleyonline.org, or using the paper copy outside the Wesley office.

For more information, contact Wesley’s music director Dan Laaveg at danlaaveg@wesleyonline.org. Students in the musical may schedule a time to pick up a copy and CD of Rescue in the Night to start learning the musical! Auditions for solo and speaking parts will be on Sunday afternoon, July 17, from 4:00-5:00 at Wesley.
