CME milk futures mostly higher, cash dairy mixed Thursday

Milk futures were mostly higher and cash dairy prices were mixed on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange Thursday.

June Class III milk was down $0.13 at $24.32.  July closed up $0.03 at $24.73.  August closed up $0.04 at $24.49.  September was up $0.09 at $24.36.  October through May contracts ranged from fourteen cents lower in March to nineteen cents higher in January.

Dry whey was up $.0050 at $.5550.  One sale was recorded at that price.

Cheese Blocks were unchanged at $2.2475 for a second straight day.  No sales were recorded.

Cheese Barrels were down $.0275 at $2.2750.  Four sales were recorded from $2.2750 to $2.30.

Butter was up $0.0450 at $2.9350.  Nine sales were made from $2.8925 to $2.9425.

Nonfat dry milk was up $.0025 to $1.87.  Two sales were recorded at that price.
