Minnesota corn planting at 60%, soybeans 32% planted
The planting pace in Minnesota remains about a week and-a-half behind normal.
USDA’s latest crop progress report says corn is 60 percent planted, soybeans are at 32 percent, and spring wheat is just 11 percent complete.
Sugarbeet planting is 27 percent done, compared to the five-year average of 94 percent.
Excess moisture continues to keep many farmers in western, central, and northwestern Minnesota out of fields.
