Alzheimer’s Association encourages Iowa businesses to ‘Go Purple in June’

June is Alzheimer’s & Brain Awareness Month and the Alzheimer’s Association is encouraging Iowa businesses to “Go Purple” for the entire 30-day duration.

Companies and business-owners alike are encouraged to show their commitment to ending the disease by displaying the Association’s signature color in a number of suggested ways at the workplace including:

  • Lighting your office building purple
  • Encouraging employees to wear the color purple
  • Hosting an Alzheimer’s Association Education Program for employees
  • Sharing your purple activities on social media (such as Instagram) by tagging @ALZIOWA and #ENDALZ

If you are interested in implementing Alzheimer’s & Brain Awareness Month tactics into your workplace, contact iowa@alz.org or call 515-440-2722 to learn┬ámore.
