Ardyth was born February 8th, 1946, at Ft. Monmouth, New Jersey, the daughter of Mary L. and Arthur S. Elliott. She married Marion “Cubb” Cubbage on February 11, 1978, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.

In 1964 she graduated from Washington High School in Cedar Rapids. Upon graduation she worked at Cedar Valley Wholesale in Cedar Rapids. When the business closed, she went to work at their parent company in Moline, Illinois as a purchasing agent. Ardyth later returned to Cedar Rapids where she worked at Torrence Electric in the Sales Department. This is where she met and married her husband Marion.

In 1981 the couple moved to Muscatine which was Marion’s hometown. Ardyth then began work at Stanley Consultants and continued on with them for nearly 22 years. Later she worked at Dovetail Builders until they closed which also marked her retirement.

Ardyth enjoyed fishing with her husband, flower gardening, spending time at the campgrounds, and painting all sorts of gorgeous designs on rocks.

She was survived by her stepdaughter Cheryl Cubbage, step-granddaughter Elizabeth Cubbage, and several nieces and nephews.

Ardyth was preceded in death by her husband Marion in 2008, her father and mother, her sister Arlene Littrel, her brother Arthur Elliott, her stepfather Todd Cochran, her stepson Michael Cubbage, and all of her grandparents.

We take comfort in knowing that Ardyth is now at peace surrounded by light and her loved ones that went before her.
