Corteva withdrawing business from Russia

Corteva Agriscience is pulling its business out of Russia.

The leading crop technology company said its priorities are employee safety and food security after Russia’s invasion of Ukraine put both in jeopardy.

Corteva said it has paused new sales in the region and is ‘initiating a plan’ to stop production and other business activities in Russia.

Corteva said it’s supporting Ukrainian farmers and their communities during the conflict through direct and indirect aid and plans on donating seeds to farmers in the region for next growing season. To boost global food security, the company is also donating seeds to Africa and the Middle East region for the 2023 growing season.
