The National Weather Service has issued a freeze warning for portions of central and eastern lowa from 1 a.m. to 8 a.m. Tuesday morning.
Overnight temperatures will fall below freezing nearing record lows in the upper 20s to lower 30s.
These below-freezing temperatures can cause extensive damage to outdoor plants in addition to exposed outdoor plumbing. Make sure to cover your vegetation or bring plants inside if necessary!
