ACE CEO encouraged by Biden remarks during E15 waiver announcement
The CEO of the American Coalition for Ethanol is encouraged by comments made by President Biden beyond the emergency waiver for E15.
Brian Jennings tells Brownfield during his announcement in Iowa Wednesday, the President admitted for the first time the net zero by 2050 emissions goal cannot be met without biofuels.
“EPA has not admitted that, Gina McCarthy who works for the President in the White House has not admitted, but the President himself uttered those words.”
He says that’s a strong signal from the administration that biofuels will be part of the solution to reducing greenhouse gases.
“And we’re gratified by that.”
On the emergency waiver, Jennings says the fuel supply chain has enough time to adjust and ACE will continue calling for a permanent fix for year-round E15.
