Iowa up to 15 cases of high-path avian flu after detection in north Iowa

Highly pathogenic avian influenza has been confirmed in a north Iowa county for the second time.

The Iowa Department of Agriculture says the virus has been found in a commercial turkey flock in Hamilton County.  On March 28th, officials confirmed avian flu in a separate flock in that county.

It’s the third case for Iowa this month and 15th overall.
