Missouri sees slightly warmer, wetter March

The USDA reports the state of Missouri had a slightly warmer and wetter March compared to average.

Statewide precipitation was slightly above normal for an average 3.2 inches, leaving 89% of topsoil at adequate to surplus levels. The statewide average temperature was up one degree from normal at 45 degrees.

Missouri winter wheat is rated 53% good to excellent for the end of March, unchanged from February.
