An active, milder pattern ahead for the Heartland
Looking ahead, the 6- to 10-day outlook calls for the likelihood of near- or above-normal temperatures in most areas west of the Mississippi River, while colder-than-normal conditions will prevail in the East.
Meanwhile, near- or below-normal precipitation from the Rockies eastward, except across Florida’s peninsula and parts of the Midwest, should contrast with drier-than-normal weather in the Pacific Coast States and the Great Basin.
