Leroy E. Nesbitt, 66, of Muscatine, passed away on Thursday, February 3, 2022, at Premier Estates Muscatine.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, February 11, 2022, at the Jesus Mission Church. Please join family and friends for a luncheon following the Celebration of Life at the church. The Ralph J. Wittich-Riley-Freers Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Leroy was born on June 21, 1955, in Muscatine, the son of Milton Carlisle and Charlene Nesbit Carlisle.
He was a veteran of the United States Army. Most of his life he drove trucks and later worked as a diesel mechanic. Leroy enjoyed fishing and sharing his fish with family and friends. He had a very giving heart and would help anyone. Leroy always put his family before himself.
Those left to honor Leroy include his four children, Charles Nesbitt of Muscatine, Tabitha Nesbitt of Ft. Madison, Amanda Nesbitt of Marshfiled, Wisconsin, and Fernando Mennenga of Loyal, Wisconsin; 10 grandchildren; four siblings, Nadine Nesbit of Muscatine, Robert Nesbitt of California, Norman Carlisle of Muscatine, and Forrest Carlisle of Muscatine; and many nieces and nephews.
He is proceeded to death by his parents, Milton Carlisle and Charlene Nesbit Carlisle and two children, CT Nesbitt and Leroy Nesbitt Jr.
