Ten poultry executives face retrial

Ten poultry company executives reportedly face a new trial next month on charges of price fixing and bid rigging.

According to DTN, the second trial is set for February 22nd after a jury failed to reach a verdict in December.

The defendants are from Pilgrim’s Pride and Claxton Poultry Farms. Their attorneys asked for acquittal saying there wasn’t enough evidence to prove conspiracy. Their motion was denied.
