Rosemary Ellithorpe

Rosemary Ellithorpe, 69, of Muscatine, passed away on Thursday, January 20, 2022, at Lutheran Living Senior Campus.

Rosemary was born on December 30, 1952, in Cedar Rapids, the daughter of Henry and Darlene Strong Burhop. She married Russell Kulp, they had three daughters together. She later married Larry Ellithorpe.

She graduated from Muscatine High School and worked as a CNA at Muscatine Care Center before becoming a homemaker.

Her favorite flower was a red rose and blue was her favorite color. She enjoyed crocheting, playing board games, watching comedies, especially the Three Stooges, baking cookies, and cooking for her family. She also collected bells, was very creative, and loved spending time with her children and grandchildren.

Rosemary is survived by her three daughters, Victoria Regler of Maryland, Catherine Powell of Muscatine, and Kristina Kulp-Turner and significate other, Brett, of Muscatine; nine grandchildren, Nicholas, Alexis, Jonathon, Christian, Caitlin, Cassidy, Tyler, Jessica, and Anna; one great grandson, Bryan; two sisters, Kathy Wiegand and Joyce Westfall and husband, Max, all of Muscatine; and several nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Susan Hipshur; one brother, William ‘Bill’ Burhop; and brother-in-law, Jerry Wiegand.
