A cold pattern to linger across much of the Heartland
Looking ahead, the 6- to 10-day outlook calls for the likelihood of near- or below-normal temperatures and precipitation across most of the country.
Warmer-than-normal weather will be confined to the northern High Plains and portions of the Pacific Coast States, while wetter-than-normal conditions should be limited to the northern High Plains and the Deep South, from southern Texas to Florida.
