Beginning farmers eligible for microgrants

Beginning farmers in Ohio can now apply for small grants to offset the cost of economic impacts of the pandemic.

The Ohio Ecological Food and Farm Association’s Microgrant program is offering $500 to $5000 to offset the cost of input expenses, infrastructure protection, and organic certification.

Funds are being disturbed through the USDA’s Beginning Farmers and Ranchers Development program for those that apply through March 7th.
