Bean on bean planting
This year, for economic reasons related to fertilizer and other inputs, some growers may choose to plant more soybean acres, including planting to fields that were in soybean in 2021. While crop rotation has many benefits and research shows that the best soybean yields come from fields that have not had any soybean for several years, research director Greg Luce provides recommendations for variety selection for those going into a second year of bean on bean planting.
