November ethanol exports up 43% on month

U.S. ethanol exports during November were a multi-year high.

The Renewable Fuels Association says exports of 149.4 million gallons were up 43% from October, the largest month for ethanol exports since March 2020. Canada was the top destination for the eighth month in a row and November was their biggest month in more than four years. Brazil, India, the United Kingdom, and South Korea rounded out the top five.

Exports of distillers dried grains with solubles were 1.02 million tons, down 4% on the month, even with Mexico taking in a record amount of DDGs for any month on record. The other leading buyers were South Korea, Ireland, Vietnam, and Canada.

From January to November 2021, ethanol exports were 1.13 billion gallons, 6% behind the 2020 pace, while year to date D-D-G exports were 10.66 million tons, 6% ahead.
