Cold weather, winter moisture to expand across the Heartland
Looking ahead, the 6- to 10-day outlook calls for the likelihood of near- or below-normal temperatures from the Pacific Coast to the northern half of the Plains and upper Midwest, while warmer-than-normal weather will prevail across the South and East.
Meanwhile, near- or above-normal precipitation across most of the country should contrast with drier-than-normal conditions across southern sections of the Rockies and Plains.
