Wide-ranging temps to lead to an active weather pattern
Looking ahead, the 6- to 10-day outlook calls for the likelihood of near- or below-normal temperatures across much of the northern and western U.S., while warmer-than-normal weather will prevail from central and southern sections of the Rockies and Plains eastward to the middle and southern Atlantic States.
Meanwhile, near- or above-normal precipitation across much of the country should contrast with drier-than-normal conditions from the central and southern Plains to the southern Atlantic Coast.
