USDA names new Illinois state directors

The USDA has named new Illinois state directors for Rural Development and the Farm Service Agency.

Scott Halpin, a grain and cattle farmer from South Wilmington, is the FSA State Executive Director for Illinois. During his farming career Halpin has also served as chairman for the Illinois Farm Bureau Member Services and Public Relations Committee and was a member of the Illinois Agricultural Leadership Program Class of 2020. Illinois Farm Bureau President Rich Guebert says Halpin has already earned the confidence of many farmers across the state and IFB looks forward to working with Halpin and his team at Illinois FSA.

Betsy Dirksen Londrigan is the new Rural Development State Director for Illinois. She too is part of a farming family in central Illinois and has over 20 years of experience working in the non-profit sector. Her commitment is to work with rural communities to bring investments to every corner of the state that support local and regional initiatives, power economic development and grow local economies.
