2021 U.S. corn, soybean harvests officially over
The 2021 U.S. corn and soybean harvests have officially wrapped up. The USDA says less than 1% of each crop remains in the field, with the annual production totals out January 12th.
Winter wheat planting is officially over, with 92% of the crop emerged, compared to the five-year average of 91%, and 44% of the crop is in good to excellent shape, unchanged on the week and down 2% on the year.
85% of U.S. cotton is harvested, compared to 79% on average.
The USDA’s monthly state crop stories start in January and weekly reports resume April 4th, 2022.
