Minnesota corn harvest advances to 97%

Measurable snowfall slowed fieldwork in Minnesota last week.

USDA’s latest weekly crop report says with four suitable days, just three percent of the state’s corn acreage remains unharvested.

That pace is a little faster than last year and more than two weeks ahead of the five-year average.

Fall moisture has been beneficial for recharging the soil with subsoils now rated 74 percent adequate to surplus.
