September corn for ethanol use down on month
The USDA says corn for ethanol use during September 2021 was 407.513 million bushels. That’s a decrease of 2% from August with some producers scaling back because of poor margins, but up 1% from September 2020 when production was constrained by questions about demand.
Production of distillers dried grains with solubles was 1,761,034 tons, 4% less than the previous month, but 1% more than last year.
The USDA’s next corn for ethanol use projection is out Tuesday, November 9th.
