MO harvest slows as rains return

Missouri harvest hit another rain induced speed bump last week.

USDA says the state’s corn crop is 86 percent harvested, still seven percent ahead of last year.

Soybean harvest is holding steady with last year at 49 percent complete. Soybeans dropping leaves is behind at 96 percent.

Cotton harvest is still well ahead of last year at 59 percent complete.

Rice harvest is 90 percent complete, even with last year.

Winter wheat planting is nearly two thirds complete and 45 percent of the crop has emerged.
