MO Cattlemen’s pleased with tax exclusions in reconciliation framework

The Missouri Cattlemen’s Association says its ‘cautiously optimistic’ on the exclusion of stepped-up basis and estate tax provisions in the recently proposed reconciliation framework for President Biden’s Build Back Better agenda.

Missouri Cattlemen’s Executive Vice President Mike Deering calls the exclusion ‘a step in the right direction’ saying every key tax change the association advocated against was left out.

Deering says he’s continuing to urge members to call their representatives in Washington D.C. because it’s unclear how Congress will respond to the framework.
