Minnesota harvest remains a week and-a-half ahead of usual pace

Minnesota farmers pushed through some wet field conditions to keep the harvest pace about a week and-a-half ahead of normal.

The latest weekly crop report from USDA shows soybeans at 98 percent harvested, 12 days faster than the five-year average.

Corn harvest is 83 percent done, 11 days ahead of average.

The sunflower and sugarbeet harvests are both more than 90 percent complete.

Other activities during the week included tillage and applying manure.
