GOP Senators want RFS meeting with Biden

Nine Republican U.S. Senators have requested a meeting with President Biden and some cabinet members to discuss the importance of the Renewable Fuels Standard and biofuels as a key for the US energy and climate agenda.

In a letter to Biden, Senators Chuck Grassley and Joni Ernst of Iowa along with John Thune and Mike Rounds of South Dakota, Roy Blunt of Missouri, Jerry Moran and Roger Marshall of Kansas, Deb Fischer and Ben Sasse of Nebraska say biofuels are a readily available energy solution that deserve full consideration to “stem the recent increase in fuel prices” which have sped up inflation but also for transportation emission reductions.
