Minnesota soybean harvest 95% complete, corn at 70%

Favorable weather allowed Minnesota farmers to stay in front of the usual harvest pace.

USDA’s latest weekly crop report says as of Sunday, 95 percent of soybeans and 70 percent of corn has been harvested.  The pace for both crops is about a week and-a-half ahead of the five-year average.

The harvest of sugarbeets is lagging more than a week behind normal at 68 percent.

The potato harvest is nearly complete, and the sunflower crop is 70 percent harvested.
