Snyder named EPA Agriculture Advisor
The Environmental Protection Agency has named Rod Snyder its new Agriculture Advisor. Snyder has been nationally recognized for his leadership at the intersection of agriculture and environmental policy and comes to the agency after serving as president of Field to Market: The Alliance for Sustainable Agriculture. EPA says he will lead outreach and engagement efforts with ag community for the EPA. He will also work to advance the Biden-Harris environmental agenda for farmers and rural communities.
American Farm Bureau president Zippy Duvall says there are plenty of important issues facing ag that will require effective communication with the EPA, including the new WOTUS rule. He says they look forward to continuing to work with him in this new capacity, ensuring farmers and ranchers are heard at EPA.
House Ag Committee Chairman David Scott says he’s pleased with the announcement and is certain he will be a valuable member of the Administrator’s senior leadership team.
