UPL joins The Climate Pledge

UPL Ltd. is doubling down on its commitment to reshape the role of agriculture in the fight against climate change by becoming the first ag input provider to join The Climate Pledge.

The Climate Pledge was co-founded by Amazon and Global Optimism in 2019 and has more than 200 signatories across 26 industries and 21 countries.  It is a commitment to reach net-zero carbon by 2040, meeting The Paris Agreement 10 years early.

Jai Shroff, Global CEO of UPL says by joining The Climate Pledge UPL is committing to collaboration, sustainability, and leadership in the industry.  UPL says its commitment to TCP builds on its existing memberships and associations and the company’s efforts to reimagine sustainability.

Over the last 5 years, UPL has reduced its carbon emissions by 26% and has a goal to reduce their carbon emissions by an additional 25% by 2025.
