The northbound lane of Grandview Avenue from Oregon to Pearl will be closed to traffic starting at 7 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 30, as paving begins in that section of the Grandview Avenue Reconstruction Project.
Heuer Construction plans to pave the two west side lanes from Franklin to Oregon on Thursday, weather permitting. The east side lane (northbound) will be utilized by the cement trucks delivering concrete.
Over 700 yards of concrete were being formed into two new driving lanes on Grandview Avenue today starting at Franklin and moving down to the Oregon intersection. As long as the weather cooperates, Heuer Construction plans on completing the White Street intersection next. pic.twitter.com/uEuxEhnZwA

With construction also ongoing on the south end of this phase of the project (from the railroad tracks to Musser Street), drivers are urged to utilize the established detours.
The main detour route is from Grandview to Houser to Hershey, and back to Mississippi Drive to proceed north on Business 61.
An alternate detour is from Grandview to Sampson to Stewart Road/Oregon to Warren to Liberty, to Grandview, and to Mississippi Drive.
