Pelosi delays infrastructure vote to Thursday

US House Speaker Nancy Pelosi has told Democrats the $1-Trillion-dollar bipartisan infrastructure bill will come to the floor for a vote this Thursday, instead of today. She told ABC News on Sunday that she’s never bringing a bill to the floor that doesn’t have the votes and says they Will have the votes. Pelosi says the president’s plan to invest in the social safety net and climate policy might end up smaller than expected.

Pelosi says she’s working to build a consensus on Biden’s $3.5 Trillion dollar reconciliation bill. The House Budget Committee voted Saturday to pass the bill and send it to the House floor.

According to CNBC, Senate Republicans plan to block a House-passed bill later today that would temporarily fund the government and suspend the debt ceiling. Funding must be approved by Thursday to prevent a government shutdown.
