Combines rolling in some soybean fields

Missouri corn and soybeans improved on the week.

The USDA says the state’s corn harvest is 17 percent complete, with 73 percent mature, and 66 percent is rated good to excellent.

More than half of the soybeans are turning color with condition at 62 percent good to excellent. Soybean harvest started in one percent of the crop.

Fifty-five percent of the cotton crop’s bolls are opening, and the crop rated 71 percent good.

Rice harvest is 26 percent complete and is rated 68 percent good to excellent.
